Regional Tourism Events Specialist
Born and bred in country NSW, Lisa was raised on a third-generation hobby farm at The Channon, a small village located between Byron Bay and Nimbin. For those who haven't spent time there, a walk through the lush Nightcap National Park, lunch at the Butterfactory or stroll around the Channon Craft Market is a must!
Lisa was inspired by the creativity, culture and spectacular landscape of the Northern Rivers, and went on to complete a Bachelor of Business in Convention & Event Management with Southern Cross University.
In October 2011, Lisa relocated to the Riverina region where she held tourism and marketing roles with NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service, Riverina Regional Tourism, and various Local Government Associations. In the five and a half years to February 2017, Lisa also managed a diverse range of events including a national conference, international forum and a number of community and destination events. For these clients, Lisa secured $250,000 in funding from the State and Local Government.
Last year, Lisa was responsible for the development and delivery of Wagga Wagga's favourite new event, Wagga Skyworks which attracted more than 10,000 people and was hailed a roaring success. She also played an integral role in the successful planning and delivery of a local charity ball which raised $52,000 for local children's charities.
With more than seven years experience in regional tourism and events, Lisa founded Nightcap Events in 2017 ~ the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. In the last year, Lisa has contracted to a range of Not-for-Profits, Local Government and private enterprise, and has loved every minute!
